These Terms & Conditions govern your use of amalagos.ng and any purchase, consultation or bespoke commission you make with AMA Lagos (“AMA”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About us
AMA Lagos is a luxury menswear and bespoke tailoring house located at 26, Fatai Idowu Arobieke St, Lekki Phase 1, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. You can reach us on +234 706 177 2005 or at info@amalagos.ng.
2. Our products and services
- Ready-to-wear and collection pieces are sold through our online shop.
- Made-to-measure and bespoke garments are cut and made to your individual measurements and style choices, following a physical or virtual consultation.
- Styling and private client services, including those offered under AMA Xclusive, are agreed with you individually.
We take care to show our garments accurately. Colours and textures may look slightly different on screen than in person, and because pieces are made by hand, small variations in finish are part of their character and are not defects.
3. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted, and a contract is formed, when your payment is successfully completed and we send you an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error. If we do, we will refund anything you have paid in full.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are in Nigerian Naira (₦). Prices may change from time to time, but the price that applies to your order is the one shown at checkout when you place it. Online payments are processed securely by Paystack. We do not see or store your full card details.
5. Measurements and fittings
For made-to-measure and bespoke garments, the fit depends on accurate measurements. Where you provide your own measurements (for example using our self-measurement guide or a virtual consultation), you are responsible for their accuracy. We will gladly guide you, and we include reasonable adjustments to perfect the fit, as described in section 8.
6. Production times
Made-to-measure and bespoke pieces are made to order. We will give you an estimated completion date when your order or commission is confirmed. Timings are estimates and may be affected by fabric availability, the number of fittings and circumstances outside our control. We will keep you informed of any change.
7. Delivery and collection
We currently deliver within Nigeria, and delivery is free of charge unless we tell you otherwise at checkout. You may also arrange to collect your order from our Lekki studio. Please check your order when it arrives and tell us about any problem as soon as possible. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection.
8. Alterations, returns and refunds
Made-to-measure and bespoke garments are made specifically for you, so they cannot be returned or refunded once production has begun, except where the garment is faulty or does not match the specification agreed with you. If a made-to-measure garment does not fit as it should, contact us within 14 days of receiving it and we will make reasonable alterations free of charge.
Ready-to-wear items may be returned within 7 days of delivery if they are unworn, unwashed, unaltered and returned with all original tags and packaging. Once we have received and inspected the item, we will refund the price of the item to your original payment method. Delivery and return shipping costs are not refundable unless the item is faulty or we sent you the wrong item.
Faulty items: if anything you receive from us is faulty, please contact us at info@amalagos.ng and we will repair, replace or refund it. This does not affect your rights under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
To arrange a return or alteration, please contact us first so we can guide you through the process.
9. Consultations and appointments
Consultations can be booked through our website. If you cannot attend, please let us know as early as possible so we can offer the slot to another client.
10. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including our designs, photographs, text, logos and branding, belongs to AMA Lagos or is used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written consent.
11. Use of this website
You agree not to misuse this website, for example by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing harmful code or using it for any unlawful purpose. We aim to keep the site available and accurate but cannot guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Your personal information
We handle your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Otherwise, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State will have jurisdiction over any dispute.
